Specialties

I provide individual psychotherapy, couples, family and group therapy. I also provide consultation for other psychotherapists. Within each type of psychotherapy, I have specific areas of expertise.

Individual Therapy

One of my specialties is working with people to find and use their voice, to be more of who they are. Often this includes learning to have better boundaries. We will work together to explore and understand the underlying reasons for your anxiety and depression.

Couples Therapy

I enjoying working with couples who want to improve their relationships. I have several special interests: polyamorous couples and couples struggling with difficulty due to a wide range differences.

Here are some of the differences:

  • Whether or not to have children
  • Preference of sexual practices such as kinky or vanilla
  • One partner is poly and the other is reluctant
  • Differences in dealing with conflict

We will make space and time to help you understand and negotiate the problems or challenges that bring you to therapy. You can read more about my couples therapy on the Couples Therapy page on this site.

Family Therapy

One of my special interests is helping families who are experiencing the terminal illness of a family member. This is usually a time that is fraught with emotion and challenge. With the help of family therapy, this time can be made meaningful for all. Please refer to the Family Therapy page for more about what I offer.

Group Therapy

My group therapy specialty is helping women to improve relationships with themselves and others while dealing with anxiety and depression. You can read more on my Group Therapy page.

Consultation for Psychotherapists

I enjoy consulting to therapists and respect the shared learning process. I bring the perspective of a life-long learner to both my psychotherapy practice and consultation.
